I’ve been receiving a lot of inquiries lately for posed newborn photography Orlando, from mamas who are unaware that newborn portraits are typically done when babies are 7-14 days old. The best time for these type of photos is when babies are still super sleepy and easily posed into those womb-like positions. This doesn’t mean that you can’t do newborn photos after 2 weeks, it just means that certain poses may not happen. For older babies, there may be more use of wraps and less posing.
The best time to start searching for a newborn photographer is during your pregnancy. Finding the right photographer for your needs takes some time and you want to be sure they are experienced in handling babies safely and can provide quality results. You also want to be sure that they will have availability around your due date. While I try to fit in last-minute newborn requests, it is not guaranteed. Prepare early so that you are not disappointed once your little one is here!
Baby Ameer was almost 3 weeks old for his newborn session. I used a lot of wraps as he was mostly awake and super wiggly. He gave me a lot of cute facial expressions which was fun to capture!
