I am so behind on sharing sessions on here. So much so, that I just photographed little Anakin recently for his 6-month milestone session! Eek! Time sure flies by doesn’t it! Nevertheless, I wanted to share Anakin’s Winter Springs newborn baby photography session. He was older then most of my newborns at 22 days old but we went ahead with the session and were able to get some sweet images for mom and dad! Most parents don’t realize that newborn photos are done during the first 2 weeks! This is when babies are still super sleepy and easily posed into those adorable womb-like positions you see in my portfolio. After 2 weeks of age, babies are more alert and sometimes, colic and baby acne can appear which makes these sessions more difficult. This is why we ask expectant mamas to book their newborn session during their second trimester so that as soon as baby arrives, all we have to do is finalize a date within those first 2 weeks.
